About this job
Installation, repair, and maintenance worker for water mains and sewer networks. Performs tasks including pipe installation/repair, valve maintenance, thawing frozen components, and related duties as directed.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, replace, repair, and inspect water mains, fire hydrants, valves, service boxes, and related network accessories
- Detect infiltrations in basements and unblock sewers
- Thaw frozen sumps, valves, service boxes, and culverts
- Connect water and sewer pipe lines
- Prepare and pour concrete as needed
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma (preferred)
- Relevant experience in water mains and sewer network maintenance
- General safety course for construction sites
- Class 3 driver's license
- P6B training certification (OPA Water Mains Technician)
