Public Health Nurse position focused on sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBI) within Peel Region's Health Services. The role involves case management, counselling, education, and clinical interventions in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary sexual health clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate reports and complete case and contact management of sexually transmitted and blood borne infections
  • Provide counselling and education on STBBI prevention, birth control, pregnancy options, sexuality, immunization and harm reduction
  • Perform venipuncture, specimen collection for STI testing, and dispense medication for birth control, emergency contraception and STI treatment under medical directives
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other health professionals to deliver inclusive customer service and facilitate treatment
  • Document and enter data in electronic medical records (Telus-CHR) and SharePoint, and report to MOHLTC through iPHIS

Contract full-time, 12 months
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (may require evenings, weekends, statutory holidays based on operational needs)
