Part-time temporary instructor role delivering accredited first aid, CPR, and emergency training programs through the Ottawa Paramedic Service. Responsible for teaching Standard First Aid, Emergency First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Therapy, and Emergency First Responder courses to the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Ottawa Paramedic Service accredited training programs (First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Therapy, Emergency First Responder courses)
  • Transport equipment to offsite locations across Ottawa and set up training equipment such as manikins and audio/visual equipment
  • Return all equipment to training centre after courses
  • Work effectively with diverse participant groups and address questions and concerns
  • Handle stress of emergency situations

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Minimum 18 months experience delivering first aid/CPR training or instructing in related field
  • Current First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor certificate
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
  • Current CPR level C - Basic Life Support/Rescuer certificate
