Full-time temporary Quality Improvement Specialist (12 months) in Toronto Public Health's Clinical Services directorate. Reports to Manager of Clinical Assets & Projects and provides performance management expertise, leads cross-cutting projects, and supports development of performance indicators and data reporting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide quality improvement expertise and support including strategic operational business planning and performance measurement frameworks
Develop, implement and evaluate divisional programs and projects
Identify quality improvement processes and conduct current state assessments, environmental scans, and business process redesign
Plan and coordinate projects including requirements gathering, gap-fit assessment, and return on investment analyses
Develop and facilitate in-service training, staff orientation and staff development programs
Qualifications
Master's degree in related field (Quality Improvement, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, Health Administration) or equivalent combination of education and extensive experience
Considerable experience leading and supporting quality improvement initiatives in public health, healthcare, government, or complex organizational settings
Considerable experience with at least five of: program reporting strategies, system design, data collection methodologies, data quality reporting, data analysis, monitoring, and data security
Experience in project management, change management, and risk management methodologies
Experience designing, developing, and delivering training and education sessions
