Quality Improvement Specialist reporting to the Manager, CQI Risk Management, supporting development, implementation, and evaluation of continuous quality improvement initiatives across Services for Seniors divisions including long-term care homes, adult day programs, and assisted living programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as divisional lead for Dementia Care Strategy, providing strategic leadership and coordination across long-term care and adult day programs
  • Lead planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of continuous quality improvement initiatives across Services for Seniors
  • Manage planning, implementation, data analysis and reports for annual Resident, Family and Client Satisfaction Surveys
  • Support divisional strategic planning by coordinating data analysis, monitoring key performance indicators, and preparing progress reports
  • Conduct environmental scans, literature reviews, and best practice research to support program planning and service development

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Sociology, Health Aging and Society, Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Gerontology, or related field
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in health care and/or long-term care
  • Knowledge of Fixing Long-Term Care Act, Ministry requirements, CARF Accreditation standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and program evaluation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and presenting data to support decision-making
