Casual Registered Practical Nurse position with Halton Region's long-term care homes, providing nursing care and support to residents across three locations. Role includes assessment, medication administration, staff direction, and resident advocacy within a RNAO Best Practice Spotlight organization.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care according to College of Nurses of Ontario standards and organizational policies
Assess and document residents' health status on an ongoing basis
Administer medication and maintain security of drugs and narcotics
Provide direction and support to front line staff and assist with orientation
Communicate with residents, families, physicians and staff; act as resident advocate

Qualifications

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with Healthcare Provider CPR Level C
Successful completion of an approved medication course for the RPN
Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple demands with strong decision-making, critical thinking and organizational skills
