Research Analyst 3 supporting Transportation Services policy, data, and strategic initiatives. The role involves research, data analysis, administrative coordination, and support across four units focused on transportation planning, policy development, and Vision Zero strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research for assigned projects accounting for field developments, corporate policies, legislation, and government initiatives
  • Establish and maintain filing systems using SharePoint while ensuring MFIPPA and records management compliance
  • Respond to business inquiries from internal and external sources and manage logistics for data requests and payment processing
  • Compile and analyze transportation data including traffic data, surveys, and public consultation input
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, input documents into systems like Maximo, and support Director's Assistant

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Urban Planning, Social Studies, Political Science, Public Administration or related field; or equivalent education and related experience
  • Experience conducting research, analysis, interpreting large data volumes and summarizing findings
  • Considerable experience in information identification, collection, documentation and writing reports, minutes, memos
  • Considerable experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong knowledge of urban planning and transportation planning language and concepts; strong organizational and communication skills
