Resident Superintendent for Peel Housing Corporation responsible for maintaining residential buildings in good repair and cleanliness, ensuring safe and secure environments for tenants. This is a regular full-time live-in position working 40 hours per week with on-call weekend and evening rotation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain interior and exterior of residential building in good state of repair and cleanliness, including common rooms, corridors, in-suite repairs, and elevators
Conduct routine inspections including daily property walk-throughs, playground inspections, fire safety equipment testing, and move in/out inspections
Remove garbage and maintain garbage equipment including compactor, bags, and bins
Investigate tenant work order requests, perform repairs, and communicate with contractors
Monitor equipment and property safety, respond to emergencies, and maintain daily activity logs
Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent, or equivalent experience in industrial or mechanical setting
Previous experience or training in administrative aspects of building management
Ability to maintain and perform minor repairs in heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, drywall, windows, locks, painting, and flooring
Valid driver's license and access to vehicle throughout work day
