Temporary full-time Roads Maintainer position for 4 months performing general roads maintenance on regional roads, bridges, and roadsides, including winter snow/ice control and summer maintenance using trucks and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment and operate tandem-axle dump trucks and utility vehicles to haul materials
Conduct winter plowing, salting, sanding, and snow/ice removal operations using specialized equipment
Cut grass and vegetation along roadsides, remove graffiti, and install/remove culverts and snow fences
Perform general roads maintenance including patching, debris removal, guiderail maintenance, and drainage work
Maintain vehicles and equipment in safe working condition and perform traffic control duties at worksites
Qualifications
Ability to read and understand policy, procedural, and instructive material such as safety notices and equipment manuals
