Section Manager responsible for delivery, administration, monitoring and continuous improvement of Transit Services technical training programs. Provides leadership to training personnel and ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory standards while managing human and financial resources.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver, administer, monitor and continuously improve Transit Services training programs for technical fleet maintenance
Provide leadership to instructors, work management coordinators, apprentices, mentors, and training personnel
Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and corporate standards
Manage section's human and financial resources and partner relationships
Provide advice and recommendations to management on training delivery and workforce development
Qualifications
Completion of 3-year College Diploma or University Degree in Education, Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field with courses towards Training or Adult Education certificate
Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in training or adult education in operational environment
2 years leadership experience in unionized or regulated environment
310 (B, S or T) journeyperson certification or Ontario unrestricted CZ class driver's licence (or provincial equivalent)
