The City of Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation division seeks an experienced Senior Change Management Consultant to lead organizational change initiatives and transformation efforts across the division, reporting to the Director of Management Services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement change management strategies and plans with focus on leadership alignment, employee participation, and divisional priorities
Provide subject matter expertise on change management practices, frameworks, tools and organizational operating models
Identify key stakeholders, develop stakeholder management plans, and negotiate consensus across senior leaders and project teams
Assess organizational readiness and capacity for change; recommend actions to enhance change capability
Identify and mitigate change-related risks, gaps and impacts; develop learning needs assessments and training solutions
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Organization Development, Human Resources, or equivalent education/experience combination
Extensive experience leading change initiatives within major public or private sector organizations, including organizational transformation
Extensive experience working at strategic level with stakeholders on change impact identification and planning
Comprehensive knowledge of change management processes including complexity, culture, risk, readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement and communication planning
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
