Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing programming and activities for youth centres in collaboration with staff and participants
Assist in delivery of registered programs and supervision of the centre during operating hours
Ensure safety of participants, document and report all accidents and incidents within 24 hours
React to emergency situations and behaviour management issues per department procedures
Act as role model and mentor for youth, fostering positive social behaviour and community engagement

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or completed university or college program in Recreation Leadership, Youth Services, or related field
3 years' work or volunteer experience interacting with young people with strong leadership abilities
Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR C from WSIB-approved provider, issued within last 3 years
Strong problem solving and effective program planning skills
Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends
