Senior Project Manager overseeing large complex capital projects for condition assessment and rehabilitation of water transmission mains, trunk sewers, and associated infrastructure. Reports to Manager of Water and Wastewater Condition Assessment and Rehabilitation. Regular full-time hybrid role with 2 onsite days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Management of large complex capital projects involving condition assessment and rehabilitation of water transmission mains, trunk sewers, forcemains and appurtenances
Managing selection and procurement for major equipment and assessment of new technologies
Preparing and tendering requests for proposals; defining scope of work and terms of reference
Controlling project budgets, schedules, monitoring and reporting; negotiating project changes to minimize financial risk
Liaising with other departments, divisions, Regional Councillors, external agencies, municipalities and the public; negotiating approval from environmental agencies
Qualifications
Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years direct work experience assessing, planning, designing and/or completing municipal infrastructure projects including trunk sewers and large diameter water transmission mains
Level 1 Criminal Record Check obtained directly from a police station
Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
Thorough knowledge of design practices, standards, codes and industry related legislation
