Casual Skate Monitor position at Beaumont Sport & Recreation Centre to supervise public skating and stick and puck sessions, manage attendance, and maintain ice safety. Role requires evening and weekend availability, solid skating skills, and First Aid/CPR certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise public skating and stick and puck hockey sessions to ensure safety and enjoyment
- Answer questions and provide information about arena programs
- Track attendance and confirm stick and puck participants have paid fees
- Promptly report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents
- Maintain adherence to legislative regulations, safety procedures, and workplace standards
Qualifications
- Ability to connect with public including children in friendly and approachable manner
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts
- Solid skating skills with own skates and helmet
- Valid Intermediate First Aid and CPR certification
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check meeting City standards
