Skating Instructor position reporting to the Program Coordinator, responsible for planning and delivering instructional ice skating programs to participants of various ages while ensuring safety, engagement, and inclusive participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize ice skating classes with daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities
  • Implement and actively supervise planned activities and engage participants
  • Ensure participant safety and security throughout programs and supervise volunteers
  • Complete and submit necessary paperwork including attendance records and hours worked
  • Modify activities with assistance from integration team to ensure participants with disabilities are fully integrated

Qualifications

  • Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
  • Minimum age of 15 years
  • Minimum 1 year experience related to the type of activity being taught
  • Previous experience working with the assigned age group
  • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
