Skilled Labourer position in Sewer & Drainage Operations performing construction, repair, and maintenance of water distribution and sewer collection systems. Reports to a Coordinator or Crew Lead and works in field environments including excavation and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform skilled maintenance duties on water distribution and sewer collection systems
Dig trenches and excavations by hand and power-operated tools
Direct equipment operators with hand signals for pipe grade, repair, or replacement
Operate tandem and single axle trucks assigned to Water and Sewer Operations
Supervise and train helper employees
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience as semi-skilled or skilled labourer in Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Operations or related industry
Level 1 Operator Certification under Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Works Operator Certification Standards; obtain Level 2 within 1 year
Knowledge of water and sewer construction methods, procedures, and maintenance
Experience working in shored excavations 15 feet or deeper
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
