Part-time position assisting with intellectual and physical management of artifacts and artworks in museum and heritage facilities, including registration, cataloguing, exhibit preparation, and storage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registration and cataloguing of artifacts/artworks
  • Preparing and maintaining display, exhibition, and storage spaces
  • Installing and dismantling exhibitions
  • Receiving shipments and assisting with research and public inquiries
  • Handling and caring for objects according to museum standards

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in university or college program in history, art history, fine arts, social sciences, or museum studies
  • Minimum 1 year collections management/registration experience in museum/gallery environment OR 1 year technical experience in museum/gallery environment
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
  • AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
