Part-time position developing and delivering interpretive and educational heritage programming at City of Ottawa historic sites and museums. Responsibilities include program coordination, historical research, heritage demonstrations, visitor services, and reception duties.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver interpretive and educational programs at City of Ottawa historic sites and museums
Prepare and coordinate heritage programming materials, supplies, and projects
Conduct historical research for educational and promotional use
Answer public inquiries including genealogy research and site history questions
Perform reception and clerical duties including program bookings, mailings, and reservations
Qualifications
Completion of 2 years university or college in History, Social Sciences, Museum Studies, Education or related discipline
Minimum 2 years interpretive or educational experience in museum environment, or 2 years teaching experience
Minimum 1 year historical research and project writing experience, or 1 year heritage trade experience
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
