The Superintendent, Logistics leads logistics operations for Paramedic Services, supervising a team responsible for medical supplies, equipment, medications, and fleet support across 15 stations and 4 hospitals. This is a contract position reporting to the Deputy Chief/Manager of Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise Logistics Officers distributing medical supplies, equipment, linens, medications, and controlled substances to 15 stations, 4 hospitals, and 50+ paramedic vehicles
Oversee procurement of supplies, equipment, medications, and uniforms; collaborate with Supply Chain Management and Finance
Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health Land Ambulance Certification Standards, Health Canada requirements, and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Collaborate with Energy, Fleet and Facilities on design and construction of paramedic stations and support facilities
Monitor industry trends and represent Halton Region on provincial and divisional committees
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent education and 3-5 years supervisory experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain (preferably healthcare)
Strong leadership and organizational skills including workforce scheduling, project planning, and budget planning
Knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, procurement processes, and vendor evaluation
Experience coordinating equipment preventative maintenance and repair programs
Proficiency with MS Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word) and excellent written/verbal communication skills
