Supervisor of homelessness programs reporting to the Manager of Homelessness & Supportive Housing. Provides leadership and operational oversight for a multidisciplinary team delivering Housing Stability Fund, homelessness prevention, and Coordinated Access programs across Halton Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and manage performance in Housing Stability Fund and homelessness programming; recruit, orient, train, and conduct performance reviews
  • Provide coaching on complex homelessness and housing stability cases and support case management practices
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives; develop and implement internal policies and procedures; conduct program audits
  • Ensure program delivery and compliance with provincial outcome targets and funding agreements
  • Manage operational guidelines for homelessness prevention, Coordinated Access, and By-Name list; oversee program budgets

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Human Services, Social Services, or related discipline
  • At least two (2) years of progressive supervisory experience
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the homelessness sector
  • Thorough knowledge of provincial legislation relevant to Housing Services including Housing Services Act, Ontario Works Act, and Residential Tenancies Act
  • Knowledge of Halton Region's Comprehensive Housing Strategy, Long-Term Affordable Housing Strategy, and Homelessness Prevention Program

Hybrid work eligible; minimum 3 days per week onsite
