Permanent full-time supervisor role reporting to the Manager of Works Operations, responsible for contract oversight and delivery of the Town's right-of-way maintenance operations and small capital infrastructure projects, including winter control, sidewalk replacement, and asset rehabilitation, while ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery of right-of-way operational contracts and small capital rehabilitation projects from planning through completion
  • Ensure operational and capital budget delivery, compliance, and adherence to municipal rules and provincial regulations
  • Prepare and develop contracts, scopes, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions; manage procurement and tender processes
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary team including Project Leaders, Inspectors, Operations Technologists, and Infrastructure Technicians
  • Oversee roadway patrol and sidewalk inspection programs to ensure compliance with Ontario Minimum Maintenance Standards

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline, plus C.E.T. designation (B.Eng. or B.Arch. considered an asset)
  • Minimum 8 years progressively responsible experience in infrastructure construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation program delivery including contract preparation and administration
  • Experience managing right-of-way projects including asphalt, stormwater management, concrete surfaces, and municipal infrastructure operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in infrastructure construction, maintenance, or operations; manage contractors and supervise technical staff
  • Valid and unrestricted Ontario Driver's Licence Class G with clean driving record (6 or more points ineligible); must pass road test as condition of employment
