Full-time temporary position (up to 18 months) analyzing and compiling survey data to produce legal survey plans, maps, and sketches for the City's planning, development, and infrastructure operations using specialized graphics and CAD software.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and compile survey data
Produce legal survey plans, planimetric and topographical base maps, index maps and sketches
Utilize graphics software and computer aided drafting techniques
Ensure conformance to relevant Provincial legislation
Compile and evaluate survey evidence and enter deeds, easements and ownership information into plans
Qualifications
Completion of 2 year community college diploma in Geomatics or related discipline with concentration in Legal Surveys
Minimum 3 years experience in survey data compilation
Knowledge of Ontario statutes and regulations relating to surveys and plans
Knowledge of Ontario Land Registration System and Ontario Cadastral Survey fabric
Proficiency with Intergraph Microstation and coordinate geometry software
