Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, schedule, and monitor daily maintenance activities across parks, sports fields, playgrounds, cemetery grounds, and public green spaces
Supervise full-time and seasonal staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
Oversee contractors to ensure safety, quality control, and compliance with contract requirements
Investigate and respond to service requests from residents, contractors, and internal departments
Lead implementation of the City's Health & Safety Program, including Field Level Hazard Assessments and incident reporting

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of related experience, including supervisory or leadership experience
Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education (equivalencies considered)
Class 3 Driver's Licence with Q endorsement and clean driver's abstract
Clean Criminal Records Check
Strong knowledge of parks and recreation operations, equipment, arboriculture, horticulture, and turf maintenance
