Temporary civil engineering technician role involving technical studies, design of municipal infrastructure, and preparation of plans and drawings using specialized software. Position is hybrid, 33 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct civil engineering studies and create plans, drawings, and visual representations using geomatics and vector software
- Perform drainage studies and preliminary design of roads, sewer and water networks, and municipal infrastructure
- Participate in surveying and measurement work, and video record review to support design decisions
- Prepare specifications and preliminary cost estimates for infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in civil engineering
- 30 months of relevant experience, specifically in technical drawing for municipal infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of Office suite
- Good knowledge of geomatics tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, ArcMap, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with CIVIL 3D software
