Part-time Therapeutic Recreation Specialist position with Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services delivering therapeutic recreation and life skills day programs for individuals with disabilities and special needs across various Ottawa locations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with delivery of Therapeutic Recreation/Life Skills day program
Lead small groups in recreational activities
Design rehab and adapted recreation programming
Support program operations and service delivery
Qualifications
4-year Therapeutic Recreation degree OR 3-year general degree with Therapeutic Recreation Diploma
3-5 years experience in Therapeutic Recreation, Adult Day Program, ABI, Special Needs, Rehab, Community, or Inclusive Recreation
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
