About this job

Utility B (Roadways) is a 1 winter seasonal full-time position in the Roadways, Fleet and Support Services Division where the successful candidate will operate various equipment including snow ploughs, sweepers, and asphalt machinery under supervision, while performing maintenance and record-keeping tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various equipment including sweeper, asphalt distributor, asphalt planer, compaction equipment, skid-steer loader, sidewalk ploughs, snow ploughs, and trucks
  • Perform minor maintenance, servicing and cleaning of equipment on a regular basis
  • Assist the Mechanic and Welder with equipment repairs as required
  • Maintain appropriate service records and record data for the Maintenance Management System
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 education
  • Three years' experience operating various types of equipment
  • Successful completion of Operator Certification
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 1A Driver's Licence
  • Current driver's abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record
