Utility Maintenance Worker II for Vancouver's ice rink facilities, responsible for operational, janitorial, and minor maintenance work including ice arena surface operation, refrigeration plant service, and facility cleaning. Key Responsibilities

Operational and maintenance work on ice arena surfaces, refrigeration plants, and related equipment
Routine janitorial functions including cleaning change rooms and washrooms, washing and waxing floors
Replenishing supplies and collecting/transferring refuse
Operating ice resurfacing equipment and other related tools
Observing equipment in operation and reporting malfunctions

Qualifications

Completion of recognized certification program in Building Service Work with technical training, or equivalent combination of training and experience
Technical Safety BC Ice Facility Operator Certificate or higher
Valid Class 5 Driver's License for British Columbia
Working knowledge of ice rink refrigeration systems, ice-making methods, and resurfacing equipment
Ability to operate ice resurfacing equipment and communicate effectively orally and in writing
