Key Responsibilities
Operate waste collection vehicles and equipment
Perform general labor in collection and disposal of trash, recycling, organics, and solid waste
Read and follow route maps, drawings, and street signs
Maintain detailed, accurate records of materials received, processed, and disbursed
Clean solid waste equipment using high-pressure water hose
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 10
Minimum 2 years recycling and refuse collection experience (or equivalent heavy equipment driving experience)
Valid Ontario unrestricted DZ class driver's licence with no more than 6 demerit points
Knowledge of waste collection practices, Ontario Highway Traffic Act, OHSA, and mechanical/hydraulic systems
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in physically demanding environment
