Key Responsibilities
Locate sewer clean-outs, clean sewer services to clear blockages, and perform visual inspections to ensure quality and pipe structural integrity
Respond to customer service enquiries regarding water pressure and quantity; locate and operate water valves to depressurize/pressurize water mains
Operate and troubleshoot water system components; respond to and resolve water contamination events including chlorination procedures
Locate and diagnose problems on water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm water collection systems and make necessary repairs
Install, remove and maintain temporary water services; erect barricades and direct traffic in serious trouble situations
Qualifications
Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalency certificate
Three years' experience related to water and sewer systems, including one year in water and sewer maintenance, repair, operations, or inspection
Level 2 Wastewater Collection and Water Distribution Operator Certification from Saskatchewan Operator Certification Board
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence and current safe driving record from SGI
Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search upon offer of employment
