Key Responsibilities
Work with children with attention deficit, ADHD, conduct disorder, and learning disabilities in positive reinforcement and social skills training programs
Deliver community recreation programs addressing needs of individuals with disabilities
Support day-to-day operation of recreation facilities and programs
Qualifications
Completion of college diploma or university degree in Recreation, Child Care/Youth Worker, Kinesiology, or Physical Education
Minimum 2 years experience working with multi-cultural youth aged 12 and up
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
Knowledge of learning disabilities and appropriate intervention strategies
At a glance
Part-time, up to 24 hours per week
Various shifts: days, evenings, weekends
