ACAN-2026-9-5559 - Genetic analysis of grizzly bear and black bear hair samples from the Selwyn Mountains, Yukon

Notice is hereby given by Government of Yukon, Department of Environment of its intent to contract with Wildlife Genetics International to provide genetic analyses for up to 1525 grizzly bear and black bear hair samples. Estimated Project Value: up to 85,000Anticipated Contract Length: October 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027. There is a renewal option for this contract for the next two years, conditional on funding availability and the department’s needs.Government of Yukon, Department of Environment, intends to direct award this contract to Wildlife Genetics International because, to the best of the knowledge of the Department of Environment, there is only one contractor that can supply the services required. Wildlife Genetics International was the only contractor that submitted a bid under the Request for Expression of Interest: Genetic sample analysis for black bear and grizzly bear hair samples (RFEI-2026-2-5119). This tender is subject to Chapter Five of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
