About this RFP

The Region of Waterloo has identified the need to upgrade the control panel at the Waterloo Landfill Gas Control Plant. The panel controls the landfill gas blowers, analyzers, valves and related equipment, and interfaces with the landfill gas flares, energy generation facility and Regional SCADA system. The existing PLC hardware is obsolete and no longer supported. As the facility operates continuously, the upgrade must be completed through a carefully planned sequence using temporary controls to maintain essential operations.
