2403019 - RFT - Mech Contractor - Royal Jubilee Hospital - WB Sanitary Drain Renewal - Mechanical Contractor

This Request for Tender is being issued by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (“Island Health”) seeking tenders from qualified Respondents to complete mechanical work under the RJH WB Sanitary Drain Renewal project at Royal Jubilee Hospital, 1952 Bay Street, Victoria, BC.The Project includes modifications to the existing heating water and steam systems serving Royal and West Block. The work generally includes connecting existing heating water supply and return risers, installation of a steam-to-water heat exchanger and associated heating water pumps, steam and condensate piping, hydronic piping, controls, insulation and related mechanical work, as detailed in the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Avalon Mechanical Consultants Ltd.The work will be completed within an active acute-care hospital environment. The Contractor shall coordinate construction activities, shutdowns and service interruptions with Island Health in advance, subject to Owner approval. Coordination will also be required with the separately contracted electrical contractor and the project controls contractor.Refer to the project Drawings and Specifications for the complete scope of work.Island Health prefers a Ready-for-Takeover date of April 30th, 2027
