About this RFP

Scope of WorkThe scope of this project is for the supply of all labour, material, and equipment resources to provide public sidewalk maintenance services at various addresses within the City of Woodstock for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 winter seasons. The City of Woodstock has a sidewalk bylaw requiring residents to maintain the public sidewalk adjacent to their property free of snow and ice. Twenty-four (24) hours after a snow or ice event, City Staff will be inspecting sidewalks throughout the city to make sure that this standard is met. If a property has not met this standard, City Staff will supply the address of these locations to the successful bidder. The Contractor is then expected to go to the property within the next Twenty-four (24) hours. The Contractor will take photos of the property before and after any work is performed. If the sidewalk has already been cleared, no work will be required. The Contractor is to report this fact along with a picture of the property to the city as part of the report. If the sidewalk has not been addressed, the Contractor will complete the work necessary to meet the city requirements and take another picture of the area upon completion. A report and invoice outlining the work done at each address will be submitted to City Staff. It is anticipated that the Contractor services will be needed after each 50mm or greater snow event or ice event; however, depending on circumstances City Staff may require Contractor services more or less frequently.Refer to Tender Document for additional details.
