CPS-2026-002 - Provision of Animal Control Services in Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake (the “Town”) invites qualified and experienced Bidders to submit Proposals for the provision of Animal Control Services within its municipal boundaries. These services include the enforcement of municipal by-laws and provincial acts relating to domestic animals, as well as pound services for impounded animals.The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is a lower-tier municipality with a population of approximately 19,088 residents, encompassing both urban and rural areas. In 2025, the Town's Animal Control Service Provider responded to over 400 inquiries. Dog licensing and registration, along with related data management activities, are currently administered by the Town.The successful contractor will be responsible for providing monthly operational reports and annual summary reports to the Municipal Enforcement Office. The contractor may also be required to work collaboratively with Municipal Enforcement Officers in the administration and enforcement of the Town's Animal Care and Control By-law.The municipality is seeking services to commence in January 2027.
