The Town of Latchford is undertaking the development of a five-year Waterfront Strategic Plan to establish a long-term vision for its waterfront along Bay Lake and the Montreal River. The project will create a practical roadmap to guide future investment, tourism, economic development, residential growth, and recreational opportunities. Through community engagement, stakeholder consultation, and detailed analysis of local assets, infrastructure, demographics, and economic opportunities, the plan will identify strategic priorities, measurable goals, and implementation actions. The completed plan will support Council’s decision-making, strengthen funding applications, encourage private investment, improve accountability, and position Latchford’s waterfront as a vibrant destination that enhances quality of life while supporting the municipality’s long-term sustainability and growth.
