Jan Enns Communications

Best known for her practical tips and engaging delivery, Jan brings 25 years of experience, insights and examples of why and how communications, consultation and media relations will lead to better outcomes – and improve your reputation along the way. Jan specializes in providing communications, consultation and media training services to help local governments achieve their corporate goals, avoid or minimize issues and reduce the need for damage control.

Jan has held key positions in both local government and provincial agencies in BC, including the City of Kelowna and Regional District of Central Okanagan, Interior Health and ICBC before starting her own communications consultancy in 2004.

With a passion for interactive training both in person and online, Jan delivers workshops and eLearning courses to help her local government clients better inform and engage their communities. A well-known conference and workshop presenter, she is a founder and instructor for BC’s LGMA eLearning program, the GFOA Advanced Financial Leadership Academy and has taught citizen engagement for the University of Alberta.

Jan has a Masters in Applied Communications, a certificate in Local Government Administration and IAP2 certificates in public participation and is the virtual facilitator for the Okanagan Communicators Network. After hours, she can be found loving life in Kelowna, BC.
