ADDENDUM 3
QUESTION AND ANSWER

This Addendum forms part of the Request for Tender documents package, #2024-007 – South Seguin & McNeice Bridge Rehabilitation and is to be read, interpreted, and coordinated with all other parts accordingly.
Addendum 3 contains the following clarifications:

1 Please specify which preservative system is to be used for both bridges. ACQ shall be the preservative system for all timber specified in the contract.
2 Please confirm if the 4”x6” rough sawn Timber Douglas Fir-L transverse deck members are to be pressure treated. Yes, all replaced timber is to be pressure treated for both bridges.
3 GRK screws are not available in Canada in stainless steel, please specify alternative. GRK’s shall not be pheinox stainless steel. Please base bid using standard #12 R4 multi-purpose GRK screws for both bridge decks, not stainless steel. Lengths as specified on the contract drawings

A signed copy of Addendum 3 must be enclosed with your submitted Tender package. Bidders that do not include this signed Addendum within their sealed Tender submission may be disqualified.

We hereby acknowledge receipt of the amended instructions and confirm that provisions therefore have been made in our tender.
