REQUEST FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION SUBMISSIONS
MAIN STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The Town of Penetanguishene is soliciting Pre-Qualification Submissions from General Contractors wishing to be evaluated and possibly pre-qualified to bid on the Main Street Reconstruction Project.

This project has an approximate construction value of $8.0 Million and will include: removal and replacement of the asphalt surface and granular sub-grade, concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermains, service connections, affected driveways and affected landscaping, widening and reconstruction of Main Street between Wolfe Avenue and Thompsons Road. It is anticipated the Contract Documents for this project will be issued to pre-qualified General Contractors in early February 2017 for a closing and award of a Contract in March 2017. Substantial Performance is to be achieved by November 2017.

Pre-Qualification Submissions shall include all of the following information:

• Minimum of three similar projects completed in the past five years with a construction value in excess of $1.0 Million. Include for each project:
  • brief project description;
  • key staff names and their experience and role in these projects;
  • original tendered prices and final contract prices;
  • description and value of major Contract Change Orders issued;
  • original contract Substantial Performance date and actual Substantial Performance date;
  • a summary of unresolved or disputed
