BUILDING CONDITION ASSESSMENTS
ADDENDUM NO. 1
October 24, 2018
This addendum has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene Recreation and Community Services Department to revise and clarify selected sections within the original Requests for Proposal document.
The following question has been asked during the tendering period for the Building Condition Assessments:
1. Question: Is the mechanical equipment that does not service the building (fire hall alarms, medical equipment, civil booster pumps servicing the town, flow control etc.) apart of the review? This would require additional specialist review. We only intend to look at the buildings mechanical units (HVAC etc.).
Answer: No.
The following sections within the Request for Proposal will be clarified or revised to include the following:
1. APPENDIX 2 SPECIFICATIONS
The items in bold have been added since release of the original tender document.
PROJECT SCOPE
b) Accessibility – full review of buildings servicing the public to identify priority retrofits to meet existing and future accessibility standards. Costing shall be separated out from main report. Buildings requiring accessibility reporting are identified in Appendix 1 – Schedule of Fees.
2. APPENDIX 1 SCHEDULE OF FEES
The Schedule of Fees has been revised to identify which buildings require accessibility assessments. The revised schedule of fees should be included in the tender submission.
