The Township’s general insurance policy has not been sent to market for competitive procurement for a number of years and Council wishes to go to market for our next renewal to ensure appropriate coverage at a reasonable price. The Council of the Township of Georgian Bay wishes to appoint an Insurance Consultant to:

• Develop the insurance renewal RFP;
• Evaluate the submissions received;
• Provide a recommendation to Council on the selection of an insurance provider; and,
• To provide independent advice on current claims and/or other insurance matters on an as-needed basis.

Our general insurance policy expired on December 31, 2013; however, we have extended it to June 30, 2014 in order to provide sufficient time for a full insurance RFP process.
